THE CASBAHS are a 5 piece indie rock band from County Durham, England formed in 2019 under the original name of ‘Cellos’ by friends and songwriters Niall Fenwick (vocals) and Joe Teasdale (guitar). Various guitar based music influences blend together to form our sound but it all has its own distinctive gritty north east edge. Our first release in October 2019, was the EP, ‘Sea or Sky’ and following the introduction of bassist/Co-vocalist Jack Walker and drummer Harry Mason, we recorded debut album ‘Been Here Before’ which was released in February 2022. Singles included Niall-led ‘Insomniac’ and Jacks anthemic ‘Out of Luck’. Guitar wizard Steven ‘Brian’ Grainger joined in 2024 and we have gone to new heights with the racket we love to make in our live performances and beyond.
